Hibs worst fears have been confirmed today regarding star striker Steven Fletcher.

Fletcher, 20, underwent a scan today and it has been revealed that he has suffered ankle ligament damage and NOT a chipped bone in his ankle as first thought.

He picked up the injury in Saturday's dire 1-1 draw with
Falkirk at Easter Road, during the penalty incident from which Hibs took the lead.

The club's top scorer with eight goals now faces two months on the sidelines as Hibs attempt to get themselves out of their recent slump in the league.

Fletcher has just signed a new SIX year contract at Easter Road, making him the highest paid player at the club.

A MASSIVE BLOW TO HIBS!
