Hibs striker Steven Fletcher called upto Scotland B squad

Hibs striker Steven Fletcher has been handed a massive boost ahead of tomorrow's trip to Fir Park to face Gretna.

The on form Hibs hitman has been called upto the
Scotland "B" squad to face Republic of Ireland, at Excelsior Stadium, Airdrie.

Fletcher, 20, has been in fine form this season, already leading the SPL scoring charts with 6 goals.

This will be Fletcher's first call up at this level, having previously represented
Scotland at U17, U19 and U21 level.

The match takes place on
Tuesday 20th November 2007, with a 7.45pm kick off.

The full Scotland B squad is as follows:

Goalkeepers:

David Marshall - Norwich
Jamie Langfield - Aberdeen


Defenders:

Chris Armstrong - Sheffield United
Christophe Berra - Heart of Midlothian
Kirk Broadfoot - Rangers
Darren Dods - Dundee United
John Kennedy - Celtic
Kevin McNaughton - Cardiff
Steven Whittaker - Rangers


Midfielders:

Charlie Adam - Rangers
James Morrison - West Bromwich Albion
Michael Stewart - Heart of Midlothian
Kevin Thomson - Rangers
Ross Wallace - Sunderland


Forwards:

Steven Fletcher - Hibernian
Steven Howard - Derby County
Chris Iwelumo - Charlton Athletic
Steven Naismith - Rangers


Also included in the squad are former Hibs youth products Kevin Thomson (Rangers), Steven Whittaker (Rangers) and Darren Dods, further enhancing Hibs reputation of having the best youth set-up in Scotland.

Another former Hibs player, Michael Stewart of Kaunas B, is also included in the squad.
