On-fire Hibs hitman Leigh Griffiths has been called up to the Scotland squad to face Luxembourg.
Griffiths, 22, has been called into his first ever senior squad following another goal against Dundee Utd this afternoon, in a 2-1 win that sent the Hibees top of the SPL, making it 5 in 5 and 12 for the season.
The former Dundee & Livingston striker is currently in his second loan spell at Easter Road from English side Wolves, with talks on-going to keep him in Edinburgh for a longer period.
Griffiths, already capped at U21 and B level was called up, along with Killie's Liam Kelly and Inverness midfielder Andrew Shinnie for the first time following a string off call offs that include Steven Fletcher, Jamie Mackie and Shuan Maloney.
Scotland travel to face Luxembourg this Wednesday, and interim boss Billy Stark said:
"Leigh has been excellent for Hibernian and scored again yesterday. I know him from the under-21s and he is a talented player."
Well done Leigh, well deserved.
