Hibs forward James Keatings has agreed a pre-contract agreement with Dundee Utd.

The out-of-contract hitman has agreed to join Ray Mackinnon's side next season, whatever division they are playing in.

Speaking to the official Utd website, he said:

“I look forward to joining Dundee United. I have enjoyed playing at Tannadice, and I know I am joining a fantastic club with a great reputation who are set up to be in the Premiership. My goal is to be scoring in the Premiership for United whether it is next season or beyond.”

Dundee United have not, so far, revealed the length of the contract signed by the former Hearts & Hamilton player.

Keatings played 72 games for the Hibees, scoring 20 goals.

He won both the Scottish Cup & Scottish Championship while at Easter Road.

Hibernian-Mad would like to wish James the very best for the future.

You will forever be a legend at Hibernian, and always be welcome back at Easter Road.
