Hibs have tonight revealed that striker Harry McKidry has joined Swindon Town.
The 26-year-old has re-joined the English League Two club on loan until the end of the season.
The Hibees signed McKirdy this time last season from Swindon in a £400,000 deal, but he has failed to score a goal or add an assist in 23 appearances.
McKirdy has just returned from major heart surgery, having spent a number of months on the sidelines.
Speaking to the official club website, Hibs boss Nick Montgomery said:
“Harry has worked very hard to get back on the pitch and after everything he has been through, he is now in a good place.
“When the interest came for Harry, we had a good conversation and we felt that it would be a good opportunity for him to get more game-time than what was potentially on offer here.
“With players coming back from international duty and injuries, this gives Harry the opportunity to push on and to come back at the end of the season with minutes under his belt at a club he is really comfortable at, and grow in confidence with each game."
HIBS-MAD VIEW
A good move for all parties involved.
Harry has worked his socks off getting back from a horrible situation after a heart problem was found in routine check, that required cardiac surgery.
Heading back to a place he knows and thrived in will do him the world of good.
Good luck Harry.
