Hibs have been dealt an injury blow ahead of Saturday's clash with St Mirren at Easter Road.
Moroccan striker, Abdessalam Benjelloun, who has already been out of the first team picture for over a month due to his practice of fasting for Ramadan, has now been affected by a virus.
Hibees manager John Collins has revealed that the forward picked up the virus while on international duty with the Moroccan Olympic squad and will miss the St Mirren game at Easter Road.
The Hibs manager said:
"Benji went to Morocco to play for his country's Olympic team, He had a sore knee before he went but played 80 minutes.
"Both he and Merouane Zemmama were not felling too well in the early part of the week, but Merouane trained yesterday and, hopefully, depending on the bug, Benji will start back training today, although he will not be ready for the weekend."
