Manager John Collins has revealed that Benji will play for Hibs reserves against their St Mirren counterparts at Almondvale, following a lengthy spell on the sidelines.

Benji has only played six games so far this season following the Muslim holy month of Ramadan and a knee injury that he aggravated while on international duty, a situation Collins isn't happy about.

The Hibs boss said:

"Benji can provide us with that bit of magic at the top end of the pitch, that wee shimmy past defenders so we are looking forward to getting him back.

"He's been out a long time and it didn't help when he went away with his country and they played him when he wasn't ready.

"We sent a letter saying he was not ready to play, but they made their own decision.

"They strapped him up heavily and played him. He's an important player for them but, at the end of the day, he has to be playing for his club before the national team."

Benji is a massive player for Hibs, let's hope we can get him banging in the goals again.
