Hibs striker Abdessalam Benjelloun is thought to be on the verge of joining team-mate and countryman Merouane Zemmama on loan at United Arab Emirates side Al Shaab.
Benji, currently on loan with Belgian side RSC Charleroi until January 9th, is said to be keen on the move.
The Moroccan internationals future at Easter Road is in doubt after he slagged off current Hibs boss Mixu Paatelainen in an interview with a Moroccan newspaper a couple of months back.
The 23-year-old has struggled since his loan move to Belgium, and a statement on the Al Shaab website seems to suggest a loan move to the UAE is imminent.
"Al Shaab has reached an agreement in principle with Abdessalam Benjelloun,"
claimed their chairman Ibrahim Bahouir.
"No contract has yet been signed between the two parties but we have a desire in common to conclude this deal."
Hibs Moroccan midfielder Merouane Zemmama is already on loan at Al Shaab, after the Hibees agreed to the move on compassionate grounds, following the UK Immigrant services refusal to let Zemmama's wife into the country because of her age, at the time she was 17-years-old.
