Hibs have once again been linked with a move for Barnsley midfielder Stevie Mallan.
Mallan, 22, was linked with a move to Easter Road last summer, before clinching a £250,000 move to the English side.
Hibs boss Neil Lennon then confirmed in January that he would like to sign the exciting youngster on loan as he hadn't made an appearance for the Tykes - Only for him to make his debut days later and impress.
He went on to make another 8 appearances but seems to be on the outside looking in at the Oakwell club.
Barnsley have also since been relegated and sacked their management team, casting more doubt on the former Scotland U21 players future.
Lennon is said to be keeping tabs on the situation, and should the chance arise, is keen to bring him to Easter Road.
