Hibs have today revealed that striker Christian Doidge has joined fellow Scottish Premiership side Kilmarnock.

The 30-year-old has joined the Ayrshire side on loan until the end of the 2022/23 season.

There is no break-clause in the deal, meaning the former Forest Green striker won't be bck until next summer.

Hibs boss Lee Johnson is hopeful of signing a couple of players before the transfer window closes tommorow night, but his budget is spent and needs to move players on first.

Doidge is one of the highest earners at the club, and getting him off the wage bill will hopefully see a new hitman arrive in Edinburgh.

Hibs have already made the first move for windon striker Harry McKirdy and have also been linked with QPR striker Macauley Bonne.

Doidge has played 118 times for Hibs scoring 37 goals.

HIBS-MAD VIEW:

It's good to see Hibs are trying to bring players in before the window closes. We really need 3 players, a centre half, centre midfielder and a striker

Doidge hasn't been the same player since his horrible achilles injury, and this move will hopefully get him back to the form previous.

He knows where the goals are, but is clerly struggling fitness wise.

Good luck Doidgey!
