Hibs have completed their first capture of transfer deadline day.
The Hibess have re-signed Aussie midfielder Nectar Triantis on loan until the end of the season from English Championship side Sunderland.
Triantis, 21, spent the second half of last season on loan at Easter Road, and after a shaky start in defence, excelled as a defensive midfielder and played 14 times
Hibs boss David Gray has moved to bring Triantis back to Edinburgh, and he is expected to be used in midfield, despite being able to play in defence.
Speaking to the official club website, Sir Dave said:
“I’m delighted to bring Nectar back to the Club. He’s someone I really enjoyed working with last season and he’s another great character to add to the dressing room.
“Nectar is someone I see as a defensive midfielder who has also played a lot at centre-back, which naturally gives him a strong defensive mindset and discipline to dominate the middle of the pitch. I look forward to working with him once again.”
HIBERNIAN-MAD VIEW
Got to admit we are delighted with this.
Nectar will bring some much needed steel to our midfield.
After adding Kwon from Celtic last week, we look stronger in that department.
Welcome back Nectar!!
