Hibs have tonight secured the signing of former French U21 international forward Dominique Malonga.
The 25-year-old has signed a two-year-deal at Easter Road after leaving Spanish side Real Murcia.
Malonga only arrived on trial over the weekend, but it seems Hibs boss Alan Stubbs has seen enough of the former Torino & Vicenza hitman to snap him up.
The Hibees have been in the market for a replacement for Farid El Alagui, who picked up a horrible Achilles injury that could keep him out for the rest of the season.
Malonga seems to fit the bill, standing at 6ft 2in, he is known for his powerful presence up front.
Speaking to the official website, Malonga said:
“I’m very happy to be here and to be given the opportunity to sign for Hibs – it’s a great club and Edinburgh is a magnificent city.
“My aim is to score goals for Hibs, to help the team to win regularly and to hopefully bring joy to the supporters.”
Malonga becomes Alan Stubbs 9th summer signing.
