Hibs boss Pat Fenlon has this morning confirmed the signing of veteran striker Shefki Kuqi.
The 35-year-old former Finland international has signed a one-year-deal at Easter Road.
Kuqi becomes Fenlon's 8th summer signing, as he completely re-builds the Hibees squad. The Hibees have already landed Paul Cairney, James McPake, Leigh Griffiths, Alan Maybury, Ben Williams, Gary Deegan and Tim Clancy.
Speaking to the official club website, the former Newcastle United, Fulham and Blackburn Rovers striker said:
"That was my first taste of Scottish football," he said. "I was overwhelmed by the passion and enthusiasm shown by the Hibernian supporters.
"If the players and supporters can work together, then I believe we can enjoy some good times and I'm excited about the next challenge in my career."
Hibs boss Pat Fenlon also added:
"With Shefki what you see is what you get.
"He is an old fashioned target man who can hold the ball up and get his head on the end of corners. He is a strong-minded player."
Kuqi has also played for the likes of Ipswich Town, Swansea City and Sheffield Wednesday, and has been capped 62 times by Finland.
Welcome to the club Shefki.
