Hibs sign Norwich defender Rocky Bushiri

Hibs have today announced that they have re-signed Belgian defender Rocky Bushiri.

The 22-year-old was on loan at Easter Road from Norwich City last season and initially impressed.

However he picked up an injury and his form dipped towards the end of his loan from the Carrow Road side, that seen him drop out the side.

The Hibees have now confirmed that Rocky triggered a clause in the loan deal, due to his number of appearances, that turns the transfer permanent.

Hibs have paid an undisclosed and he has signed a 3-year-deal in Edinburgh.

Speaking to the official website, Hibs boss Lee Johnson said:

“Rocky has a lot of attributes to be a successful in his career.

“He has obvious strengths and it’ll be interesting to see how quickly he can adapt to a new playing style.”

HIBS-MAD VIEW:

We have to admit, we thought we had seen the last of the big man at Easter Road after how his loan deal ended.

However he is now back at the Hibees permanently and should we get him back to that early form, could still be a cracking signing for us.

Let's hope with a full pre-season under his belt and getting injury we see a different Rocky.

We have to say though, some of the comments made on the official twitter feed about the signing are an absolute disgrace.

Hibs class? Hmmmm.
