Hibs have today secured the signing of Lithuanian international striker Valdas Trakys. The 31-year-old has signed a deal until the end of the season, after impressing in a trial period with the club. The former Torpedo Moscow and FBK Kaunas forward is a man of many clubs, with the Hibees being his 15th. He has also played in Azerbaijan, Greece and Belgium. 6ft 3in Trakys is delighted to have signed for Hibs, he said: “I'm looking forward to playing for Hibs, a club I know is a big team in Scotland - one with a big history. Hibs boss John Hughes moved for the player after loan signing from Bristol Rovers, Darryl Duffy, broke his foot before he could make his debut for the Easter Road club.
"What can I bring to the team? Goals, because I am a striker and that is what is expected.
"Sometimes you cannot score, but you can bring good things to the team and what I hope is to bring good things."
