Hibs have just announed the capture of central defender Liam Fontaine on a one-year-deal.
The experienced centre half joins the club after leaving Bristol City in the summer, after nearly 300 appearances for the Robins, mostly in the English Championship.
He also had a spell on trial with Bolton Wanderers last month.
28-year-old Fonatine could make his debut tonight in the League Cup against Dumbarton at Easter Road, but the Hibees are still waiting for international clearance.
Fontaine already has experience of Scottish football, having had a short loan spell with Kilmarnock back in 2005, and will bring some much needed quality and experience to the Hibs back line.
He becomes manager Alan Stubbs 6th summer signing.
Speaking to the official club website, Stubbs said:
"Liam is a real quality signing, who will undoubtedly add a huge amount to the squad and further strengthen our defence.
"We did our homework on him - both as a player and as a person - and he ticked all the right boxes and he has immediately bought into what we're trying to achieve at the club."
With about a week to go in the transfer market, Hibs are said to still be looking to bolster the squad, with rumours flying that Everton defender Tyias Browning is close to signing a loan deal at Easter Road, Stubbs is also said to still be in the market for another striker and possibly a right sided winger.
