Hibs manager Alan Stubbs has today completed the signing of Spanish goalkeeper Antonio Reguero.
The 33-year-old has signed a one-year-deal at Easter Road and has travelled to La Manga with the squad for a week of sunshine training.
6ft 2in Reguero has been signed as competition for Mark Oxley, who has also signed for the club, following a loan spell from Hull City, who released him in the summer.
The experienced keeper has played for a number of clubs over the years including Real Madrid C, Racing Ferrol & Villareal B in his homeland.
He has spent the last three years in Scotland with Inverness Caley, Kilmarnock & Ross County.
Speaking to the official website, Reguero said:
"This is a great move for me. I’ve really enjoyed the last three years in Scotland and I’m very pleased with my move to Hibernian. The club face a big challenge next season and I’m looking forward of being part of our bid for promotion.”
The signing of the Spaniard also brings and end to any chance of Swiss keeper Sascha Struder signing, who, after a week on trial, has been told he will not be offered a deal.
Reguero joins Oxley, Martin Boyle, Danny Carmichael and James Keatings as the new boys at Easter Road.
The Hibees have also resigned David Gray, Lewis Stevenson, Liam Fontaine & Fraser Fyvie on new deals, after their contracts run out during the summer.
