The Hibs support that turned up for today's emphatic win over SPL new boys Dundee, were shocked to find a new signing warming up on the Easter Road pitch.
The announcement of the signing of new goalkeeper Sean Murdoch was made late morning, and seemed to catch many by surprise.
Murdoch has spent the last few weeks on trial at East Mains, and done enough to land a contract with the Hibees until January.
26-year-old Murdoch, who has previously played for Dunfermline, Forfar, Hamilton Accies and most recently Accrington Stanley has arrived as back-up to current Number 1 Ben Williams.
Murdoch has been capped at U18 and U19 level for Scotland, and Pat Fenlon's 11th signing of the "summer" should make for a reliable and experienced back-up to Williams.
Speaking to the official club website, Fenlon said:
"He has been training with us for the past few weeks and has impressed us with his ability and his attitude.
"He will come in and automatically provide us with experienced cover for Ben Williams."
Welcome to the Hibees Sean from all at Hibs-mad
