Hibs have today, finally, completed the signing of Fulham attacker Kieron Bowie.
After months of speculation, Hibs boss David Gray has secured the former Raith Rovers kid in a £600,000 deal.
Bowie has signed a 4-year-deal at Easter Road and becomes the Hibees Eighth summer signing.
According to reports his former club Raith Rovers inserted a sell-on clause that should net the Kirkcaldy club around £120,000.
The Hibees beat off the likes of Wigan, Wrexham, Barnsley, Northampton Town and a late Hearts bid to hijack the deal.
Speaking to the official club website, Hibs boss David Gray said:
“Kieron is an exciting Scottish talent, and we’re thrilled to bring him to the Club.
“He can play anywhere across the front three and his pace and power will give us an extra dimension going forward. He has all the attributes to be a success in this league.
“Players of Kieron’s ability and potential are always in high-demand, so to sign of player of his calibre shows the ambition that we’ve got here.”
HIBERNIAN-MAD VIEW
Brilliant to finally get Bowie over the line after what seems like weeks and weeks of specualtion.
The boy has bags of talent and looks a really exciting prospect/
It's good to see the club back the manager in the market, with promise of a few more to come.
The Hibees are now looking healthy in the attacking department again, with Bowie, Myko and Hoilett arriving over the last week.
Welcome Kieron!!
