Hibs boss John Collins has swooped to sign his NINTH summer signing, by landing French striker Mickael Antoine-Curier.

The 24-year-old French forward has arrived from Norwegian side FK Haugeseund on a one year deal, for a fee of £30,000.

Curier impressed while on trial at Easter Road last month, scoring FOUR goals in a 5-2 pre-season win over
Livingston.

The Hibs boss was thought to have dropped his interest in the player and he was on trial at English side MK Dons last week, but Hibs have nipped in on deadline day to add the player to the squad.

He has had previous spells in British football with Oldham Ath,
Kidderminster, Sheffield Wednesday, Rochdale, Notts County, Brentford, Nottingham Forest and Grimsby Town, astonishingly ALL in the same season, before moving to Norway with FK Haugesund.

Hibs boss John Collins was delighted with his new signing and told the OFFICIAL club website - www.Hibernianfc.co.uk:

"We have been looking for a striker throughout the summer and Mickael impressed recently in a closed-door game. We kept in touch and I'm delighted that agreement could be reached with the player and I am looking forward to working with him. He is a big striker who can hold the ball up well, and has shown he can score goals wherever he has been but in particular during his time in Norway. He has a great awareness and reads the game well, and he is I feel arriving at just the right time as we will have a couple of weeks with him on the training ground thanks to our having a free weekend following our game tomorrow."

Welcome to Hibernian FC Mickael!
