Hibernian FC have finalised their second acquisition of the summer transfer window today.

The club has secured Irish defender Warren O'Hora following the expiration of his contract with MK Dons.

O'Hora, aged 25, has committed to a three-year contract at Easter Road and joins goalkeeper Josef Bursik as the latest addition to head coach David Gray's squad.

Speaking to the official club website, David Gray said:

“I’m delighted that we’ve been able to bring Warren to the Club.

“As a defender, he’s a brave, aggressive organiser, with great leadership qualities. He’s very comfortable on the ball and confident playing out from the back. We look forward to working with him.”

O'Hora added:

“I’m delighted to be here,” smiled Warren. “I couldn’t believe it when the call came to be honest.

“It was excitement and a small bit of disbelief that a club this size wanted to come and sign me.

“I came up and saw the facilities, the stadium was amazing, the city of Edinburgh is lovely; I was really taken aback by it. I couldn’t say no, it was a no brainer for me and my family. I am really happy and really looking forward to it.”

O'Hora started his career with Bohemians in his native country, appearing in 11 games before being acquired by then English Premiership team Brighton.

After two years with Brighton's U23 team, he was loaned to MK Dons, playing 17 matches and impressing enough for MK Dons to secure a permanent transfer in 2021 for an undisclosed sum.

Over the following four seasons, O'Hora amassed over 160 appearances and netted 10 goals.

Additionally, he has earned caps at both the U18 and U19 levels for Ireland.
