Hibs have just confirmed signing number two of transfer deadline day.
Bournemouth defender Owen Bevan has joined the Hibees on loan for the rest of the season.
The 20-year-old central defender arrives at Easter Road, having spent the first half of the season on loan with Cheltenham Town, where he played 14 times before picking up an injury and returning to the Cherries to recover.
The Wales U21 international has also had previous loan spells with Yeovil Town and Truro.
He has also played twice in the English Premiership.
Speaking to the official club website, Hibs boss Nick Montgomery said:
“Having watched him during his loan spell at Cheltenham Town earlier this season, I was really keen to try and bring him in for the second half of this season. After a muscle injury saw him return to Bournemouth, discussions between the two clubs were on-going and we were able to get the deal done.
“Owen is a young centre-back with great attributes and a fantastic attitude. He can play either side as a centre-back and at right-back, which provides us with great depth and competition for places. We look forward to working with him.”
HIBS-MAD VIEW
Another one in the door, and a badly sparse back-line bolstered as well.
The lad looks an exciting prospect on paper, hopefully he will add some much needed competition to the centre of defence.
We've leaked too many goals this season, so it's good to see the defence having new faces added to it.
Welcome to the Hibs Owen.
