Hibs have tonight confirmed the signing of defender Jack Iredale.
The 28-year-old has signed a 2-year-deal with the club, and has signed for an undisclosed fee.
Scottish born Iredale started his career in Australia, after moving there at a young age, before moving back to the UK, playing for the likes of Morton, Cambridge and Bolton in the process.
He has plenty experience, having played over 250 games in his career, and can play as a left-sided defender or at left back.
Speaking to the official club website, Hibs boss David Gray said:
“Jack is an experienced centre-half and knows the Scottish game well from his time at Greenock Morton and Queen’s Park.
“We’ve wanted to add a left-footed defender to the First Team squad this window, and he adds extra flexibility and competition for places being comfortable at both centre-half and left-back.
“It’s great to be able to welcome Jack to Hibs and we look forward to working with him.”
HIBERNIAN-MAD VIEW
It's good to see another central defender coming into the fold.
And a left sided one at that!!
Hibs now have options all over the pitch, and hopefully we can now kick our season up a gear.
Moan the Hibs!!
