According to media reports Hibs are set to complete the signing of former Dundee Utd midfielder Scott Allan.
The 22-year-old playmaker is said to be having a medical at the clubs East Mains training facility today, before signing a 2-year-deal.
If the move goes through, Hibs will have gazumped Rangers, amongst others, to land the former West Brom midfielder.
Allan was shown round East Mains earlier in the week, apparently along with Hull City keeper Mark Oxley, who is said to be close to a loan deal at Easter Road.
The Scotland U21 midfielder left Dundee Utd in 2012 after falling out with then manager Peter Houston over a new contract.
Celtic, Rangers and Newcastle United all expressed an interest in the youngster, but he chose to go to the Baggies.
However, Allan never made an appearance for the Midlands club, going out on various loans instead to Portsmouth (twice), MK Dons & Birmingham City.
Is he set to be Hibs boss Alan Stubbs' third summer signing???
