According to journalist Peter O'Rourke, Hibs are set to sign keeper Jordan Smith.
The 29-year-old is a free agent after leaving English League Two side Stockport County.
O'Rourke claims the former Nottingham Forest keeper has agreed terms with the Hibees, despite having other offers on the table.
It's not clear how long a contract he has signed, and an announcement is expected in the coming days.
He will provide cover for Josef Bursik, who is on loan from Club Brugge for the season, who is expected to be Number 1 at Easter Road.
It looks like it also signals the end of Jojo Wollacott's Hibs career, with the ex Charlton Keeper falling futher down the pecking order.
Smith has spent most of his career with Nottingham Forest, but has had a number of loan spells during his career, including with Mansfield Town and Barnsley.
He spent last season with Stockport County.
HIBERNIAN-MAD VIEW
It's good to see another signing possibly arriving at Easter Road.
Smith has played at a good level and has some good experience to bring to the table.
Also, in our opinion, it's pointing towards Murray Johnson coming back from loan next season and fighting for the Number 1 spot with the Hibees.
There is a clear path for the kid if he wants to take it.
Bursik is on loan, and Smith is likely to sign a one year deal, it would leave the door open for Johnson, with another year of first team football under his belt with Airdrie, to step up to the plate.
