Hibs are tonight on the verge of signing goalkeeper Scott Gallacher on a free transfer.
The 27-year-old has just been released by Championship basement boys St Mirren, and will come to Easter Road as back-up to Ross Laidlaw.
Laidlaw himself is back-up to No.1 Ofir Marciano, who has picked up another injury, leaving the Hibees with one fit goalkeeper.
On loan development keeper Maciez Dubrawski is also out injured, after dislocating a thumb, forcing Hibs boss Neil Lennon to move for Gallacher.
Gallacher is expected to sign a short term deal until the summer, and, should the deal be finalised in time, go straight into the squad for Saturday's trip to face Queen of the South in Dumfries.
The former Scotland U21 keeper started his career with Rangers, having loan spells with Forfar, Airdrie & Cowdenbeath while with the Ibrox club, leaving in 2014.
He then signed for Hearts, only managing a handful of games, before being loaned out again to Forfar.
Hearts then released him in 2016, with the player then having a short spell with Alloa Athletic, before moving to St Mirren last summer.
