According to reports from down south, Hibs are close to signing Blackpool wing-back Demetri Mitchell.
The Blackpool Gazette is reporting that Mitchell travelled to Edinburgh yesterday to complete the deal, but no annoucement has been made as of yet.
He has also been left out of today's squad for their clash with Millwall.
The 25-year-old former Hearts loanee can play as a full-back, wing-back or left winger and it seems Hibs boss Shaun Maloney is keen to bring him to Easter Road.
Mitchell would bring some much needed competition to the left hand side, with only Jamie Murphy being an out-and-out left sided winger.
James Scott and Chris Muelller can play there, and young Dan Mackay, of course, is a left winger, who has been loaned out to Killie.
Hibs have already signed Elias Melkersen, Chris Mueller, Rocky Bushiri, Ewan Henderson, Dylan Tait and Harry Clarke this window, could Mitchell be joining them?
Hibernian-Mad View:
Should we get this deal over the line, this looks another pretty good signing on paper.
He's fast and agressive and brings some much needed reinforcement to the left hand side.
Michell also knows the SPFL and Edinburgh through his previous loan spell with Hearts.
One to keep an eye on in the coming days.
