According to "The Athletic" Staff Writer Jeff Rueter on twitter, Hibs are set to raid Barcelona's academy.
The Hibees apparently signed American wing-back/winger Emmanuel Johnson on a long-term deal.
It's also claimed that Johnson will go straight out on loan to a USL side, surely it must be Hibs partner club Charleston Battery?
Johnson, 18, spent time with Sacramento Republic FC before moving to the academy of the Spanish giants.
The Hibees have been on a signing spree of talented players from across the world lately to beef up their academy under new chief Steve Kean, is Johnson next?
Hibernian-Mad View:
Hibs really are on a mission to sign up talented kids and add them to the academy.
In the last few weeks have seen players sign-up from Belgium, Norway, a Portuguese kid from Civil Service Strollers, and a keeper from England.
It now seems we have raided the Barca Academy for an American wide player.
If it's true he will go to the USL on loan, it must be Charleston Battery, if it is, it will be good to see the link-up finally being used, after being put on-hold because of covid.
