According to press reports this afternoon, Hibs are close to signing out-of-contract Sligo Rovers striker Eoin Doyle.
The 23-year-old is a free agent, meaning the Hibees can land the player on a free.
Doyle scored 25 goals for Sligo Rovers last season, and has scored 40 goals in 90 appearances for the Irish Premier Division side.
He started his career with Shelbourne in 2006 without playing a game for the club, before moving to Shamrock Rovers 2007, he spent two seasons with the Dublin club, scoring 8 goals in 35 games.
When former Hibs midfielder Michael O'Neill took over at the Tallaght Stadium, Doyle quickly found himself out-of-favour, and moved to Sligo in 2009.
Hibs are expected to announce the signing of Doyle at somepoint today, with the player expected to make his debut in the Edinburgh derby against the Insolvent one's at Easter Road on January 2nd.
