Hibs are set to extend the loan of young forward Ross Campbell at Dunfermline Athletic.

The 21-year-old Scotland U21 striker joined the first division side last month as Hibees boss Mixu Paatelainen wanted the youngster to gain some more first team experience.

Since Campbell joined the Pars last month he has scored his first ever top team goal as he snatched a last minute goal for Dunfermline against Morton as Cappielow and now Pars boss Jim McIntrye has expressed his desire to keep him at East End Park.

Hibs boss Mixu Paatelainen has revealed that he will most likely sanction the move, he said:

"I haven't had a chance to speak to Jim having been at Hampden on Saturday and then the SPL coaches forum at Gleneagles yesterday. But I'm sure we'll have a chat this week. I'll also speak to Ross to see how he feels but if all parties are happy then it will probably happen."

A good move, Campbell will only benefit from the first team exposure.
