According to reports in today's tabloids, Hibs have entered talks with St Johnstone midfielder Liam Craig over a pre-contract move to Easter Road.
The 25-year-old's deal at the Perth club runs out in the summer, and any club is free to enter talks with the player from January 1st 2013.
Hibs have apparently informed the Saints that they plan to speak to player once the January transfer window opens.
This news seems to confirm the rumours that have been spreading across the Hibs messageboards over the last week or so, with our own board, the Hibeesbounce and Hibs.net all carrying threads about the possible move.
Craig started his career with Ipswich Town, before moving to Falkirk in 2006. After impressing in his 30 games with the Bairns, St Johnstone signed him in a deal that would eventually cost the Perth side £50,000.
He has since played over 160 games for McDiarmid Park side.
