Numerous reports in tonight's press indicate that Hibernian F.C. is poised to name a successor to Nick Montgomery.
David Gray is expected to be appointed the new Head Coach shortly.
Gray, a revered club icon, is renowned for his decisive goal in the 2016 Scottish Cup Final, which ended Hibernian's 114-year wait for the trophy.
As captain, he has made 177 appearances for the Hibees and scored 15 goals.
Despite being on vacation, the 36-year-old is reportedly assembling his coaching staff.
There are speculations that Gray is considering Liam Craig, a former Hibernian midfielder, for his assistant, although this has yet to be confirmed.
Hibernian was previously associated with Derek McInnes, Stephen Robinson, and ex-Celtic manager Ronny Deila, but it appears Gray has emerged victorious.
An official announcement is expected in the forthcoming days.
HIBERNIAN MAD VIEW
If it is confirmed then we are on board!!!
Sir Dave knows and loves the club, and if anyone can drag it out of it's current malaise it's him.
The fans love him, so hopefully they will give him time to build something at Easter Road.
A big advantage is that he already knows the squad, knows who will need shipped out and what positions to bolster.
We wait with baited breath.
