Hibs have today been linked with a move for Coventry City centre half James McPake.
The 27-year-old has been hit with injury since he moved to the Sky Blues in a reported £150,000 deal from Livingston in 2009.
McPake has played just 31 times for the Championship side, following groin problems, and then a double fracture at the base of his back.
Scotland boss Craig Levein was said to be tracking the fromer Livi captain's progress with Coventry, where he has gained the respect of their fans for his commited attitude.
Hibs boss Pat Felon is keen to sign the 6ft 2in defender on loan for the rest of the season, with a view to a permanent summer transfer.
The Hibees will face competition for his signature, with Hearts, Dundee Utd and Dunfermline all, also, being linked with the player.
