Hibs have tonight, finally, sacked under pressure manager Colin Calderwood.
The axe comes 24 hours after the 1-0 home loss to Dunfermline that keeps the Hibees towards the bottom of the SPL.
It also comes quick on the heels of a fan demonstration outside the stadium after yesterday's loss, and only 72 hours before the club's AGM.
Calderwood has been in charge of team affairs for 13 months, after he replaced John Hughes in the Easter Road hot-seat.
His record at Easter Road was shocking, with only 12 wins in 49 games, and with 26 losses, which included an embarrassing Scottish Cup exit to 2nd division side Ayr Utd.
Hibs chairman Rod Petrie, speaking on the official club website said:
"The board decided that it was in the club's best interests to find a new manager to take Hibernian forward."
The news also comes just 3 months after the club turned down a £300,000 approach from Birmingham City for Calderwood to become assistant to Chris Hughton at St Andrews, which is also, probably, his next destination.
Hibs now begin the search for their 8th boss in 11 seasons, with Roy Aitken, Terry Butcher and Michael O'Neill the early front-runners.
