Hibs midfielder Martin Scott has become the latest player to be shown the door at Easter Road this summer.
The 27-year-old has agreed a termination of his contract, that still had 12 months to run, and has left the club with immeadiate effect.
Although this has not been confirmed as of yet by the club, a chance meeting with the player and one of the Hibs-Mad admin team, in Edinburgh City Centre, had the player confirming his exit early last week.
It has also emerged that Scott has been on trial with English League Two side Southend United, and has appeared twice as a trialist for the Shrimpers, in the last week or so.
"Jimmy" joined the Hibees in an £80,000 deal from Ross County in 2011, but he has failed to hold down a regular first team slot.
Pat Fenlon loaned him back to County last season, but he only managed a handful of appearances.
Scott joins Pa-Kujabi, Alan Maybury, Callum Antell, Leigh Griffiths, Matt Done, Jorge Claros, Eoin Doyle, Shefki Kuqi, Scott Smith, Gary Deegan & David Wotherspoon out of the exit door down Leith.
