Hibs have this afternoon turned down a £375,000 plus add-ons offer for midfielder Scott Allan from Rotherham United.
The Hibees turned dpwn a third bid from Rangers of £275,000 just yesterday.
According to reports, Allan has told the Hibees he has no interest in a move to Rotherham, should a deal eventually be agreed, as he still pushes for a move to The Rangers.
Millers boss Steve Evans all but confirmed his club's interest, by saying:
“Any transfer business we do will remain confidential between the clubs.
“From a distance, one wonders why news of clubs bidding and not bidding gets out. We will not do that.
“We will deal directly with Hibernian should we pursue any interest in Scott Allan.”
Rotherham are said to have entered further talks with the Hibees following the rejection of their first bid, and are still keen to talk to Allan.
Also tonight, rumours have surfaced that Wigan Athletic are set to join the race for the playmakers signature and are weighing up a £600,000 offer.
There is also internet rumours that both Sheffield United and Swindon Town are keeping tabs on the situation.
