Hibs have tonight turned down a shocking bid from Celtic for star midfielder John McGinn.
According to the Scottish Sun, the Glasgow side have offered just £1.5m for the Scotland international.
Celtic apparently see McGinn as a replacement for Stuart Armstrong, who joined Southampton in a £7m deal last week.
Hibs boss Neil Lennon has slapped a £5m price tag on the former St Mirren midfielders head, following links with the likes of Brighton, Bournemouth, Aston Villa, and Middlesbrough.
St Mirren have a 33% sell on fee apparently inserted in any future fee the Hibees receive.
Hibs-Mad Opinion:
Terrible offer. Celtic receive £7m for Armstrong, a player who is older, with less international caps and the same amount of time left on his contract.
The Hibees should be holding out for AT LEAST £3m with a sell-on, as well as Scott Allan thrown in.
