Hibs have tonight revealed on their official website,
The club do not name the team in question, but they do reveal that it is an SPL side.
Celtic have already been credited with an approach worth £3m in tonight's press and it seems the most logical conclusion.
Rangers are currently looking to sell to balance the books at Ibrox, so that surely rules them out.
Their fellow Glasgow club Celtic are the only other SPL club who could afford the Scotland striker.
The brief official statement reads as follows:
"Hibernian FC today rejected a verbal approach from an SPL club to discuss the potential transfer of Steven Fletcher.
"No further discussion is planned."
Good to see the club taking a stance.
