The Daily Record are today reporting that Hibs have rejected a £50,000 bid from Motherwell for striker Simon Murray.
Murray, 26, Started last season in blistering form, but was used as a makeweight to secure the loan signing of Scott Allan in January and headed to Dundee on loan.
He has now returned to Easter Road but his future is unclear as Hibs boss Neil Lennon re-builds his squad this summer.
The Hibees also turned down reported higher offers for the player last October/November time from an "un-named" foreign club.
Lennon is looking to secure Florian Kamberi after an outstanding loan spell from Grasshopper in Switzerland and the Hibees inserted a clause to buy the player for a reported £100,000 in the deal, and the cash for Murray could help push the deal through.
It remains to be seen if Motherwell will up their offer, but Murray won't be short of suitors if Hibs decide to let him go, with former clubs Dundee and Dundee Utd also interested in his signature.
