According to reports in today's tabloids, Hibs manager Pat Fenlon has offered Ivan Sproule to St Johnstone in a swap deal for Liam Craig.
Rumour had it that Hibs had entered talks with Craig about a pre-contract agreement move this summer, as the player is in his last 6 months of his Saints deal.
Left sided midfielder Craig, 25, has been a stand-out for the Perth club since he moved there from Falkirk in 2008 in a £40,000 deal after an initial loan spell.
It's well known that St Johnstone boss Steve Lomas is a huge admirer of Sproule, and if reports are to be believed, he tried to take him to Perth in the summer.
It now seems Fenlon will offer Sproule to the Saints in an attempt to land Craig during the January transfer window.
