Hibs midfielder Ross Chisholm released!!

Last updated : 17 June 2009 By Steve Forbes

Hibs have today allowed midfielder Ross Chisholm to leave Easter Road.

The 21-year-old has not been offered a deal by new Hibs boss John Hughes as he looks to free up some funds to build a new look side.

Chisholm has played close to 50 games for the Hibees, but has failed to make the grade since coming through the club's famous youth system.

Chisholm follows Fabian Yantorno, Steven Pinau, Blair Tolmie (All released by ex boss Mixu Paatelainen), Grzegorz Szamotulski and Denes Rosa out the exit door down Leith way.

Others including Joe Keenan are set to follow.

Port Vale and Bristol Rovers are now hot on the trail of Scotland U21 midfielder Chisholm.

Chisholm's agent Scott Fisher said:

"I am a bit surprised because Ross was offered a new deal but John Hughes obviously doesn't fancy him."

Hibernian-Mad would like to take this opportunity to offer Ross all the very best in the future.
