Hibs midfielder Ross Chisholm has revealed that he has entered talks with the club over a new deal.
Chisholm was told by Hibs boss Mixu Paatelainen a number of weeks ago, that he would be offered a new deal to stay at Easter Road, but no offer has so far materialised.
It now seems the Hibees are about to offer the player a new contract, as the club is talking with his agent.
Bristol Rovers are said to be keen on the Scotland U21 international and could be waiting in the wings should no agreement be reached.
Chisholm said:
"My agent has had talks with the club now and things are looking a bit better.
"It was nice to be told by the manager that he wanted me but it was difficult to know what would happen when the club didn't follow that up. But I'm glad things have moved on a bit. I'm not sure exactly what's on the table, I would be looking for a two-year deal, to be honest."
