Hibs midfielder Ewan Henderson is set to be the latest player to leave the club this summer.

The 24-year-old is to sign for Belgian side Beerschot for a fee of £150,000, with the Hibees said to have inserted a number of add-ons, including a sell-on clause.

Henderson spent last season on loan in Belgium with Oostende, and impressed, but due to financial difficulties, Oostende can't follow through with their buy option in his loan deal.

This paved the way for Beerschot to step in, with the player, who didn't travel with the Hibees on their pre-season trip to Holland, and is, instead, on his way to Belgium to seal the deal.

Henderson joned the Hibees on loan from Celtic in January 2022, befoe making the move a permanent one the following summer. He has played 35 games for Hibs, scoring 5 goals.

He has also had loan spells with Ross County and Dunfermline whilst a Celtic player.

HIBERNIAN MAD VIEW

Probably the right move for everyone.

Hendo struggled to hold down a first team spot at Easter Road, and was constantly in and out of the side.

A fresh start is probably what's needed, and a decent fee for the club should the deal complete.
