Hibernian FC announced this afternoon that midfielder Dylan Tait has departed the club.
The 22-year-old has transferred to Championship team Falkirk for an undisclosed sum, with Hibernian securing a sell-on clause.
After spending the latter half of the previous season on loan at Falkirk, contributing to their Scottish League One championship win, Tait has now made the move permanent, reuniting with his ex-manager John McGlynn from his time at Raith Rovers.
Hibernian originally acquired Tait from Raith Rovers for a reported fee of £150,000 in August 2021, only to loan him back immediately.
Following loan stints at Arbroath, Kilmarnock, and Hamilton Academical, Tait's time at Hibernian culminated in just one first-team appearance.
He has committed to a two-year contract with Falkirk.
HIBERNIAN-MAD VIEW
It's dissapointing that it didn't work out for Dylan at Hibs.
He was an exciting signing at the time, a good prospect that looked like it could prove frutiful for Hibs in the future.
Hibs signed quite a few youngsters from the Championship at the time like Daniel Mackay and Kevin Nisbet, under Jack Ross, but when Ross left it seemed to put them, Nisbet apart, out the picture.
We wish good luck to Dylan in the future.
