According to the Daily Record, talks have opened between Rangers and Hibs over the transfer of winger Jamie Murphy.
The 31-year-old is out-of-favour at Ibrox and wants first team football, after spending last season in England on loan with Burton Albion.
Hibs are apparently willing to pay a fee for the former Motherwell player, with Rangers wanting a "six-figure fee" for his services.
The Hibees are said to also be willing to sign him on a loan deal
Dundee Utd have already failed in a move to sign the player, and with the player in the last year of his contract, Hibs boss Jack Ross is hopeful of landing the Scotland international.
Murphy has previously played for Motherwell, Brighton and Sheffield United.

Murphy has some good experience at a good level.
Jack Ross is keen to bolster his attacking options and is keen on yet another Rangers player, having previously failed to sign Greg Docherty and Ross McCrorie this window.
