Hibs have today been credited with an interest in Hearts striker John Sutton.
According to press reports Hibs have contacted the Jambos about the availability of the former Motherwell player.
Hibs boss Pat Fenlon has already met with Sutton's representatives, and the player is said to be open about making the move accross the Edinburgh divide.
The Hibees are keen to loan the 28-year-old until the end of the season, but it's thought the insolvent one's will turn down the offer as they are looking for a fee.
Hearts only yesterday turned down a loan offer for the player from St Mirren, so it looks like Hibs will have to make a cash offer if they want to land the player.
Sutton has already played for the Buddies, and has also had spells with Tottenham Hotspur, Swindon Town and Millwall amongst others.
