According to the website FootballInsider247 Hibs have joined the chase to sign Wolves striker Austin Samuels.
Hibs only signed Hull City striker James Scott on a season-long loan yesterday, but the club had been hunting for another striker before Christian Doidge picked up a long-term injury, leaving only Kevin Nisbet and young Jamie Gullan as striking options.
It now seems Jack Ross has joined Accrington and Fleetwood Town in an attempt to land the 20-year-old.
Wolves sent Samuel out on loan last season to Bradford City, and he scored 1 goal in 14 games, but was used mostly on the wing.
The rapid youngster has started the seaon well, scoring twice against Middlesbrough U23 side.
He has aslo spent time on loan with Kidderminster and has a good goalscoing record with Wolves 18's and 23's.
ED'S VIEW:
If this report is true, it seems like a positive move for the Hibees.
It would bring some much needed competition up-front, as well as more pace and competition to the wide areas.
As we have seen already, we have quite a small squad, and hopefully we will see 2 or 3 more signings before the window closes.
