Hibs are tonight being linked with Toronto FC attacker Cassius Mailula.
According to Sahil Ebrahim of massively respected website Transfermarkt, the Hibees are keen on the 23-year-old.
The South African international is under contract with the MLS side until 2026, and cost them a reported 1.5m Euros, about £1.2m when he signed from Sundowns in his homeland in 2023.
Mailula is mostly a right winger, but can play both wings and can also play as a striker or an attacking midfielder and he has a good record.
He played 31 times for Sundowns and scored 15 times, and adding 4 assists before he moved to the MLS.
Toronto have mostly used him as an impact sub, he has played 8 times, scoring 2 goals with 1 assist.
It's no secret that Head Coach David Gray is keen to bolster his attacking options, and it seems Mailula is on his shortlist.
HIBERNIAN-MAD VIEW
He has an impressive goals to games ratio on his record, especially with Sundowns.
What's not clear is if the move is permanent or a loan?
A permanent move could be a coup for Hibs, as he clearly has potential, and at 23, possible sell-on value.
We wait to see if the rumour is true......
