Hibs have today been linked with a swoop for out-of-contract Motherwell forward Scott McDonald.
The 32-year-old is currently a free agent, although he is mulling over a contract extension from Motherwell, where his deal ran out in May.
The Hibees are expected to offer the experienced goal scorer a move to Easter Road, to shoot the Hibees back to the Premiership.
McDonald scored 14 goals for Motherwell in the SPL last season, in a productive season for the Australian internationalist.
Hibs boss Neil Lennon is looking to bolster his forward line, with only Jason Cummings & James Keatings the recognised forwards at Easter Road, along with the untried, but rated Jamie Insall.
Lennon knows McDonald well from his time with Celtic, and it looks like he is tempted to bring the former Middlesbrough, Millwall and Wimbledon forward to Edinburgh.
