According to the Portsmouth News, Hibs have made contact with Portsmouth over winger Ronan Curtis.
The 26-year-old had a £2m valuation stuck on his head this time last year, but his club are said to be willing to let him go for £500,000 as he enters the last year of his deal.
Blackburn, Preston and Cardiff have been linked with him in the past, but it now seems Hibs have jumped to the front of the queue.
Republic of Ireland international Curtis is also still attracting other interest, so the Hibees could face competition.
Hibs currently only have youngsters Dan Mackay and Runar Hague as out and out winers in the squad
UPDATE:
The Edinburgh Evening News is now reporting that, although Hibs DID, at one point have an interest in Curtis, they are looking at other options.
HIBS-MAD VIEW:
This looks like a very exciting signing on paper, but it now seems the latest is Hibs have decided against making a move.
However, it's good to see the club willing to spend cash to improve the squad.
